Mifflin County School District is seeking a System Support Specialist to work in the Information Systems Department. Job requirements include day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of technology systems. Candidate should demonstrate a strong working knowledge of MS Windows 11, MS Windows Server 2022 and up, Group Policy, Active Directory, software deployment, user profiles, TCP/IP, and hardware associated with desktops, laptops, tablets, and printers. The candidate will help maintain inventory and document changes within the environment, including software installations and changes they make to the network. This candidate will also supervise summer interns to accomplish routine maintenance, computer replacement, and other summer projects necessary to maintain the information infrastructure. Experience with Microsoft SCCM, SMART interactive displays, switches, and wireless APs is preferred.


A Bachelor's degree in Information Science and Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to quickly learn new technologies and an aptitude for problem determination and resolution. A commitment to teamwork and cooperation in the workplace is required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary, including the ability to communicate specialized information to non-specialized audiences.
