Discover a more connected Directional Drill Operator career At Communications Construction Group, as a Directional Drill Operator, you'll safely and effectively run Directional Drills as well as a variety of other equipment used in the installation, repair and maintenance of underground construction and telecommunication utilities.
Compensation: $30-$45 hourly

What you'll do as a Directional Drill Operator / Locator - Safely operate drill equipment on jobsite which may include but not limited to the following: Direction Drill, Backhoe/Excavator, Skid Steer, Tracctor Trailer (Moving Equipment/Haul Water), Vacuum Truck/Trailer, Locator
- Restore and /or landscape disturbed areas of the jobsite
- Develop and maintain a bore schedule
- Site set-up and clean-up
- Load and unload tools, materials and equipment on truck
- Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting construction
- Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging traffic
What you'll need - To be 18 years of age or older
- Authorization to work in the United States for this company
- Must possess a valid drivers license - Class A CDL - Tanker endorsements strongly preferred
- Must be experienced with Directional Drill equipment and understand their capabilities and limitations
- Must be safety conscious
- Must be able to effectively communicate with crew, customers and vendors
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to read and understand work orders, safety rules and operating instructions
- Must be able to proficiently use locators to safely identify utilities
Physical abilities & exposures - Routinely: lift 50lbs and work in all weather conditions.
- Occasionally: lift 75lbs as needed with or without assistance
