Final Process Operator

The Final Process Operator is responsible for conducting final inspections, labeling, packaging, and documentation of parts prior to shipment. This role ensures that finished goods meet customer quality standards and internal specifications. Operators serve a vital quality function and work closely with both production and quality teams to uphold performance and delivery goals.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct final inspections of parts to ensure they meet customer quality standards and internal specifications.
• Label and package parts accurately for shipment.
• Document inspection results and other relevant information using basic computer or tablet skills.
• Collaborate with production and quality teams to maintain performance and delivery goals.
• Ensure a commitment to product quality and strong attention to detail.

Essential Skills:

• Proficiency in inspection techniques, including using micrometres, CMM inspection, and calipers.
• Experience in quality control, final inspection, and quality assurance.
• Ability to read and interpret part labels, instructions, and inspection criteria.
• Basic computer or tablet skills for documenting results and accessing specifications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or inspection role preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Type & Location:

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blacksburg, VA.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $21.20/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
