Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Heavy Equipment & Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy construction equipment and Class 8 diesel trucks. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, diagnostic skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment such as loaders, Feller Buncher, Skidder, and skid steers.
Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel-powered semi-trucks, trailers, and related systems.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
Conduct preventive maintenance services and equipment inspections according to company and OEM standards.
Use diagnostic software and tools to identify issues in engines, transmissions, and electronic systems.
Fabricate, weld, and modify components as necessary to complete repairs.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and service performed.
Ensure all work meets safety, environmental, and operational standards.
Respond to field service calls as needed and perform on-site repairs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training or certifications preferred).
3+ years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic and/or diesel truck technician.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and drivetrains.
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and repair software (e.g., Cummins Insite, CAT ET, Detroit DDDL).
Welding and fabrication experience a plus.
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred or ability to obtain).
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a variety of environments (shop and field).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Schedule:
Full-time, Monday–Friday (occasional weekends or overtime as needed)
