Paralegal Assistants – Veterans Benefits Department
Location: Racine, WI (Hybrid) 
Pay Range: $19.00 – $23.00 per hour
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts

We are currently hiring multiple Legal Assistants to join our Veterans Benefits Department in Glendale, WI. About the Role:
As a Legal Assistant, you will work closely with an attorney to manage a caseload of individual Veterans seeking disability benefits through the Department of Veterans Affairs. This is a fast-paced, high-volume environment where attention to detail and client service are key.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a client caseload under attorney supervision
• Communicate with clients via phone and written correspondence
• Prepare and review appeals and evidentiary documents for VA submission
• Conduct legal, medical, and administrative research
• Maintain documentation in case management software
• Process daily mail and perform other administrative tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of work experience (required)
• Paralegal Certificate (preferred)
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems
• Ability to prioritize tasks and maintain professionalism
• Strong customer service skills and adaptability
