Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) with every other weekend coverage required.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for the Emergency Room (ER) to provide quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong background in emergency nursing and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department for a variety of conditions, including trauma and cardiac cases.


• Perform triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on severity and needs.


• Administer medications and monitor patient responses and vital signs.


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.


• Float between various Cone Health campuses as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.


• Current BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications are required; TNCC certification is preferred.


• Charge RN experience is preferred.


• Experience with a patient ratio of 1:4.


• Proficiency in phlebotomy and IV therapy.


• Skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and critical care procedures.
