Job Details:

• Work 36 or 48 hour shifts in Emergency Department
\n• Patient ratio of 1:5 for all shifts (days, nights, weekends)
\n• 2 years of experience required (will review 1.5 years); Level I Trauma preferred
\n• Travel experience strongly preferred, however client may consider candidates with 2+ years Level 1 Experience
\n• Must have TNCC certification BEFORE submission
\n• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH (can pend until compliance due date), PALS, TNCC
\n• New Mexico license can be pending at time of submission
\n• No RQI certifications accepted
\n• Weekend coverage required as needed - weekend days are Saturday and Sunday, weekend nights are Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
\n• No on-call requirements
\n• Floating to Pediatric ED is optional, floating to Adult PCUs is expected based on staffing needs
\n• Potential floating to ED Holding and Trauma DOE
\n• Guaranteed contracted hours (36/48/40) per week with facility allowed to call off 3 times throughout 13-week assignment
\n• 24 hours of orientation
\n• Medication administration including IV medications via seven medication rights
\n• Document and communicate clinical findings
\n• Bar code medication scanning required
\n• Black scrubs required (not provided)
\n• Charting system: Cerner
\n• No parking fees
\n• Must live more than 75 miles from facility
\n• Overtime must be pre-approved by client (approval is rare)
\n• RTO restrictions apply - greater than 7 days needs approval

This is a Level I Trauma Center and Children's Hospital with 554 staffed beds, serving as a major teaching hospital providing short-term acute care. The Emergency Department sees approximately 60%-80% admissions with many ED rooms functioning as "ED Holding" areas. The facility maintains a daily census of 170-200 patients with about 175 visits per day across 53 rooms and 68 beds. The facility is a Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
