Responsibilities Provide real-time Uzbek & English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and official proceedings. Interpret accurately, neutrally, and with cultural competency in immigration and legal contexts. Adhere to USCIS/DHS confidentiality and compliance standards. Manage both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge requests. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits. Qualifications Native or near-native fluency in Uzbek and English. 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, medical, or government preferred). Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness. Strong telephone communication and accuracy under pressure. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance. Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $28–35/hour (rare-language premium).
