Job Title: Advancement Volunteer & Events Coordinator
Status: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Exempt
Reports To: Chief Advancement Officer
Marian House is seeking a dynamic and organized Advancement Volunteer & Events Coordinator to join our team. This full-time position plays a vital role in supporting the fundraising, marketing, and public relations efforts of the Advancement Office. The Coordinator is responsible for managing volunteers, overseeing in-kind donations, and planning fundraising events that engage the community and support the mission of Marian House.
In this role, you'll work closely with the Chief Advancement Officer to plan and execute signature events such as our annual 5K, Ravens Raffle, and Blingo. You'll help secure sponsorships and donations, manage vendor relationships, coordinate event logistics, and ensure a smooth experience for attendees and volunteers. You'll also create marketing materials and maintain detailed records of event activities and participation.
The Coordinator leads volunteer recruitment, training, and recognition efforts, and works collaboratively with program staff to assess and meet volunteer and donation needs-especially for our Holiday Wish Program, which serves the women and children in our care. You'll build relationships with community partners, promote opportunities through outreach and social media, and maintain accurate records of volunteer engagement.
This is a hands-on, community-facing role that requires excellent communication and project management skills, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting women and families in need. Candidates should be comfortable working independently and as part of a team, with availability for occasional evenings and weekends. Experience in event planning, volunteer coordination, or fundraising is strongly preferred.
