The Brand Specialist is a dedicated, passionate, brand champion, embodying the essence of the brand, with the goal to help make our Wyoming Whiskey, The Glenrothes and Highland Park recognized global leaders. The Brand Specialist will be spearheading building brand awareness and relevancy in New York Metro through leading live (virtual) trial, education, brand sponsored events, building trade relationships primarily focused in the on premise, and building a network of influencers and connections to locally based lifestyle brands. You will also support the local sales teams in achieving high mark placement and barrel sales. This position is for a self-starter, someone who is highly driven to succeed, and enjoys going the extra mile to achieve results.

It is imperative that the Brand Specialist embodies the essence of each brand, behavior and delivery of key brand messages. Given the differences in each brand story, a true lover of whiskey and cocktail culture who can fit seamlessly into a dive bar as well as a Michelin Starred restaurant is preferred.

Make an Impact

The Brand Specialist will help to drive an increase in brand awareness and consideration, as measured by established tracking tools specifically, they are accountable for (but not limited to):

  • Bring the brand essence to life in every single interaction, event and training
  • Be the Expert! Act as our in-market local authority on the brand to the trade, local consumers, and local media
  • Elevate Wyoming Whiskey/Highland Park/The Glentrothes with our local stakeholders, educating them on American Whiskey production and Brand Proposition resulting in it being clear and top of mind.
  • Welcome, guide, lead and educate VIP visits in New York Metro with the objective of converting visitors to be WW/HP/TGR brand advocates and loyalists
  • Work with the brand team to implement a range of marketing activations and communications that are in line with the brand messages and objectives and c ollaborate with Global Brand Ambassador for VIP events, tastings, and opportunities.
  • Recruit New Consumers to the brand: Seek opportunities to sample, educate, entertain, expose, and partner with influencers and consumers.
  • Represent WW/HP/TGR at local media, consumer, and trade events.
  • Build influencer networks, including collectors and professional groups.
  • Build brand advocacy through brand specific trainings for key commercial and trade partners ensuring front of mind presence and selling confidence of WW/HP/TGR at priority accounts.
  • Responsible for the management and best use of their annual personal travel and entertainment budget.
  • Responsible for regular reporting – Event reports, program recaps, expense reports, consumer insights, competitor positioning, performance against targets, etc.

Your Talent and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will have the following: 

  • Previous experience as a brand specialist or ambassador. Industry experience a plus, but not required
  • Passion for Ultra spirits
  • Motivated self-starter, gregarious personality, articulate, charismatic, and professional
  • Exceptional organizational & event production/management skills
  • Adept at networking, selling and interacting with diverse groups of people
  • Strong written, verbal and public speaking skills
  • Use of social media (Facebook, Instagram) & technology
  • Ability to work independently, manage a personal schedule, and think creatively
  • Due to the nature of the role, evening and weekend coverage is required
  • Must reside in New York Metro area and own a drivers license
  • Eligible to work in the US and must be at least 21 years of age
