Internal Audit Intern

In this role, youll support the Expert Functions Internal Audit Team, gaining practical experience with internal audit activities and broad exposure to key areas such as accounting, treasury, risk management, legal, strategy, and other expert functions at Nasdaq.

What Youll Do

• Support the execution of audit engagements by assisting with planning, fieldwork, and reporting activities.
• Perform walkthroughs, identify risks, test controls, and document work performed under the guidance of audit leads.
• Assist in preparing audit workpapers and maintaining documentation in accordance with internal and industry standards.
• Analyze data sets, draw conclusions, and prepare summaries to support audit results.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on audit scope, risks, and findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and validate audit evidence.

What You'll Bring

• Rising senior enrolled full time for the upcoming semester in an accredited college or university and on-track to graduate.
• Currently pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, computer science, or similar field.
• Eagerness to learn, ask questions, and take on new challenges.
• Ability to work well with others and contribute to a team environment.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 programs.

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with automation or data analytics tools.
• Effective written communicator and strong ability to articulate ideas clearly in writing.
• Interested in gaining insight into the inner workings of how companies operate.

This position will be located in Philadelphia and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
